So for this month's Joy of Sets Tic Tac Toe Challenge blog the fabulously talented Anne-Marie was our design team board designer and from this one I chose to go with Monochronme, Layers and Punch straight across the bottom. Although I did also add the element of Friend from the centre which was purely coincidental.
I kept it super simple in black and white using a variety of squares layered to give a real multi-dimensional effect. I used mostly Stampin' Up! materials, Basic Black and Whisper White cardstock, trimmed into squares - no dies involved so it was super simple and easy to replicate with minimal tools.
The paper I used was a freebie I've had in my collection for ages from a magazine and the dies I used to cut out the word friend were gifted to me by a crafty friend. I used a scrap of sparkly black ribbon from Stampin' Up!, not sure if it's current but I doubt it is.
For my punch element I used the glorious tag topper punch from Stampin' Up! I just love it and it was never going to find itself in my recent clearance sale because it's just one of my most loved and versatile punches.
So, I hope you enjoyed my project. It's very simple, yet effective and I'm pleased how it turned it. Do go and check out the other entries, this design team are on another level and I feel quite humbled to be a part of it all. Please have a go yourself too. We love to see everyone's entries.
Thank you for dropping in.
