Joy of Sets Tic Tac Toe Challenge Blog September 2019

Can you believe that it's September already? Where do the months go? I've been super busy this past month with holidays, arranging the charity project Bens Beanies (which has a card making challenge this year too besides the hat one) and starting a new job which is super fantastic but exhausting.

I couldn't let a month go by without performing my Design Team duties and putting together a card using this month's Tic Tac Toe Joy of Sets Challenge Blog board created by the lovely Fiona Whitehead who I know has been going through some challenges herself this month but still finds time to motivate us all over at The Joy of Sets.

This month I opted for the central horizontal line and went with Lace, Music and Pink. Apologies for the poor photos my light was not on my side as I realised very late in the day that I'd not photographed my card so had to make the most of what artifiical light I had available.

I'd received some gorgeous goodies as a surprise gift from a lovely customer called Lesley and this card is made using some of those. I used the embossing folder she sent me which is by a brand called Darice to create the music which is embossed onto the Whisper White layer sitting on a base of Blushing Bride card stock by Stampin' Up!

I also used the pretty delicate lace Lesley gifted me to add a touch of delicate elegance to the edge of the card, simply affixing it with a tape dispenser.

For the top white layer I used a Stampin' Up! set called Wonderful Moments stamping the bride and the sentiment using Blushing Bride ink. I went crazy with Wink of Stella over the lines of the bride stamp and dusted a little onto the raised musical notes too.

I was kind of imagining that the bride is a big music fan or that she plays an instrument or even the music is symbolic of her favourite song or a the wedding march... whatever, music plays a big part at a wedding even if it's only to dance like a mad thing to when you've consumed too much alcohol at the reception.

I love how this turned out and although it doesn't match up with our partner challenge this month which is a card sketch by the lovely Kaylin Krawcyzk from Try Stamping on Tuesday I will try my hardes to find time to make a similar card to pop into Kaylin's challenge #tsot424 before the end of the week.

Thank you for popping in if you came from the Joy of Sets Challenge Blog. Hope to see you again and if you didn't come to me from there do go and check out the other design team entries plus our guest entry.

Have a great week!
