Joy of Sets Tic Tac Toe Challenge Blog Design Team July 2019 #josttt007

It's that time again when the Joy of Sets Challenge Blog post another set of lovely cards created by the design team. I love being a part of the team and really enjoy making something using the Tic Tac
Toe style card element boards. This one was a tougher one for me than before and was created by the lovely Laura Awsom Geffert.

I went with the top horizontal line and so chose to incorporate the elements Glitter, Beverage and Twine or Ribbon into my card.

I used all Stampin' Up! products for this one and stuck to a two tone colour theme of Mint Macaron and Calypso Coral on a simple easel fold card. There is a video giving full details available on my channel and I've dropped it in at the end of the post too if you want to take a look at that.

I used the Tea Together stamp set and Tea Time Framelets to cut out the tea cup and the roses. Using an aqua blender allowed me to just bring the colour from the stamping onto the images a little more. I used a couple of scalloped circle punches for the sentiment which is fixed onto the card on top of a strip of ribbon from the Magnolia Lane suite of products. the paper I used was from the Garden Lane suite of products.

For my glittery element I went with Wink of Stella which I added to the tea cup and the roses and then I added a glitter dot to the sentiment from a retired set of embellishments from Stampin' Up!

If you want to play along with the board this month, head over to the challenge blog and use the link at the end to lead us to your blog post with your entry. We choose our 3 favourites and winner each month unless there are only a few entries in which case we choose just a winner, but we do have a good number of entries most months. The winner gets to be a guest design team member.

If you want to join in with other Joy of Sets challenges and project sharing then you can join the Facebook group.

Thanks for popping in, do go and show my fellow Design Team ladies some love. We really do appreciate it.

Have a great weekend.

  2. Such a lovely card, the colours are beautiful together. I find the Tic Tac Toe grids a bit of a challenge sometimes but they're really great for making me step out of my comfort zone x

    1. Thank you Angie. I've had a creative slump these past couple of months but I think that's just because I've not had time to just sit in the craft room and craft. That time will come again though.
