Joy of Sets Blog Hop June 2019

It's time for the Joy of Sets ladies to blog en masse again and to give you the chance to hop around and see what we've all been making.

Our hops are always hugely successful for us and we love to share together with a common theme. This month as many of us love Stampin' Up! our theme is something new in honour of the release of the new Stampin' Up! annual catalogue for 2019-20. However, so as to not make it exclusive those of us who are not demonstrators or customers of Stampin' Up! are also joining in and sharing something they've made using a new tool, other brands of new craft materials or even a new technique they've learned.

When you've finished having a look at my card why not continue by following the links at the bottom of each blog to go around and show some love to my fellow bloggers. They will be hugely grateful as am I if you came here from one of their blogs already.

So for my card I kept it all relatively simple opting for a 5 x 5 cardstock base in the gorgeous new In Colour 2019/21 Rococo Rose. It's such a romantic pink, I just love it. For old timers amongst you who loved Sweet Sugarplum it will make you very happy as it's along the same tonal path as that shade was. I added a layer of Pretty Peacock, this is a more blue version of Tranquil Tide in my opinion and it's so easy to coordinate with lots of other colours in the Stampin' Up! offering. Onto this I added a piece of the gorgeous  Perennial Essence DSP. I love every single design in this stack and that is unusual for me.

Next I layered on a piece of Rococo Rose DSP from the In-Colour 2019/21 stack. I opted for the design with the script as I was going for a romantic, love letter kind of feel. I added some of the gorgeous scalloped lace trim just beyond the join of the two papers and really feel this added a touch of je ne sais quoi and really softened the card.  For the sentiment I took the new Timeless Label punch and punched out 2 shapes each from Pretty Peacock and Rococo Rose and one in Very Vanilla. I stamped onto this using Pretty Peacock ink using a sentiment from the new Over The Moon set.  I added some new In-Colour 2019/21 faceted dots and that was my card complete.

I do hope you like it. For me the whole feel of the new products is one of romance and opulence of rich colours and texture and I am blown away by this one more than any other before. Funny thing is I wasn't too keen on any of the new bits and bobs until I had them in my hands and then they really came to life for me.

There is a video tutorial to go along with this post which is live on my channel now but please hop around the blogs before watching videos as it can draw you away and take you on another road quite easily. I'd love you to stick around and see what the other ladies have made.

Thank you for dropping by, it is hugely appreciated and don't forget those links to the other blogs below.

Have a great weekend.
