Joy of Sets Challenge Blog April 2019

Here's my design for the April 2019 JOS Tic Tac Toe challenge blog. I love being a part of this design team and even though I've been up against it for time this month I had to get a design in.

This month the grid was put together by the lovely Nicky Leighton and I went for the line which included Emboss, Vellum and White.

I used a couple of bits and pieces from Stampin' Up! Saleabration promotion. Even though it's over I've just not had enough of using those gorgeous goodies yet.

I used some of the Grapefruit Grove foil as a mat for my card and then layered on a piece of Whispter White cardstock which had gone through the Big Shot with a layer of Vellum on top of it, using the gorgeous floral freebie Saleabration embossing folder to give both pieces the fabulously deep floral relief pattern.

I added a piece of textured polka dot ribbon and another piece of vellum, this time stamped out in Grapefruit Grove ink with a butterfly design from Butterfly Gala stamp set and cut out with the Butterfly punch. I also used the Saleabration Coordinations punch to create a sentiment with a stamp from the Part of My Story stamp set which I also used Grapefruit Grove ink for.

I finished it all off with a couple of retired enamel stick ons, a heart and a small circle just to carry on the orange accent.

Looking forward to next month and do check out all of the other designs and feel free to join in with us and add your own.

Thanks for dropping in, have a great weekend.

  1. So pretty Andrea - and with all you've had to do this month I'm so glad you managed to get in some crafting time. I do love that little dotty ribbon!

    1. Thank you. It's a very pretty delicate card, very tough to capture in a photo.

    1. Doesn't it. I do find that when Saleabration or a supplementary catalogue is done that I feel disappointed that I didn't have time to use everything.

  6. Using the Grapefruit Grove foil and ink is perfect with the beautiful delicate embossed effect of the card and vellum together. Love it x
