Positively Papercraft Throw Back Thursday

As one of the admin for the Facebook group Positively Papercraft I've begun a new weekly challenge just for March.

I was inspired by another member of the group, Deb Barkman who shared a Throwback Thursday project from her blog using retired Stampin' Up! products and asked if I could pinch her idea for a group challenge. Glady she was happy for me to do so. Do go and check out her blog, it's fabulous!

So all that we have to do is make a card or a 3D project using something old. That can be retired Stampin' Up! or something we've had kicking around in our stash forever. It could be a project using a technique which has gone out of fashion or something we have which is very rare. We may use old or retired tools. The choice is ours and our projects can include current items too as long as we focus on the retro part.

Once we have a project put together we should write a blog post about it and then share a link to that post in the comments under my post sharing my project on the Positively Papercraft wall. Whichever comment gets the most likes will be our weekly winner. There is no prize, just the prestige and maybe a sticker for our blogs.

So my project then uses a retired DSP from Stampin' Up and the retired stamp set, Avant Garden both of which left us in 2017. I've also used a retired ribbon and Cucumber Crush a retired In-Colour.

There is a tutorial video which shows how I arrived at my end result.

Feel free to come and join in with the challenge, it should be fun and help to use up some old stash.

Have a great Thursday and thanks for dropping in.

  1. Beautiful! I still have that stamp set and must dig it out and play with it. Sadly I have only a tiny amount of the gorgeous, sunny Daffodil Delight DSP left. Thanks for organising another fun challenge xx

    1. Thank you. I went a little too dark with my background leaves in places but kind of liked the overall effect.
