Stampin' Up! #simplestamping February

It's a new month (well we're a week into it but what's a few days between friends?) and that means a new #simplestamping challenge from Stampin' Up!. This month the criteria is to make a birthday card and we can use a piece of DSP if we wish.

I decided to do just that and added a little piece of DSP from the Needlepoint Nook suite by Stampin' Up! designed using Night of Navy and Whisper White to resemble a cross stitch sampler.

I took one little flower stamp from the freebie Cupcake stamp set in the Saleabration promotion and added that randomly onto the white card base using Night of Navy ink, stamping a few times to achieve tonal changes in the design. I also used a sentiment from the same stamp set to finish this one off.

Nothing like keeping it super simple. Why don't you join in and create a card by stamping and adding not a lot else? Remember if you share it on social media with the #simplestamping you may be a lucky person selected to be sent a little gift direct from Stampin' Up!

Thank you for dropping in as always and have a great weekend.

  1. What a lovely card, you can't beat a bit of simple stamping.x

    1. Thank you. My son made me laugh he came into my craft room as I'd finished it and said "I'm not a fan of stamping off I like the crisp stamped image when the stamp is full of ink" I wondered at what point he'd picked up the terminology and techniques and then realised I inflict perhaps too much of my passion onto him as a 19 year old young man. Pretty impressed that he had retained info though, I was beginning to think he had developed into a regular teenage male and everything went in one ear and out of the other.

I love to hear your thoughts and am happy to answer your questions
