Monochrome Doggy Card

Hi, welcome to my blog and welcome back if you've been here before.

This card was put together for the Joy of Sets monthly challenge for January 2019 and the remit was to use something new.

I chose this fab Happy Tails stamp set and punch from Stampin' Up! which is in the new Spring Summer 2019 catalogue and which I received just a couple of days ago. It also uses the black and white reverse side of the fab Saleabration freebie Botanical Butterfly DSP which is also new.

I had a Whisper White 5 x 6 base and added to that two of the DSP designs and glued a strip of retired Melon Mambo satin ribbon across the join before adding a topper which was made by doing some simple stamping onto a 3 x 4 base of Whisper White using various stamps from the fab stamp set. I stamped in Basic Black and Melon Mambo. I gave the dog more dimension by adding a punched version with dimensionals on top of the flat stamped version and also did the same with a couple of the hearts by stamping solid hearts in Melon Mambo and punching them out and gluing them on. I touched the whole thing with little dabs of Wink of Stellar and that was that.

To shop Stampin' Up! or to join me as a demonstrator just click here.

Why not come and join in the Joy of Sets fun and enter a few of the challenges or just share your hand made card creations with the rest of the wonderfully supportive and friendly community.

The video tutorial for this one is live now HERE.

Have a great week!
