The lovely Ann Melvin set a challenge on her fast growing Facebook group Positively Papercraft Craft Forum this week and it is the most fun thing ever!
All we had to do was get the components of a card assembled and then blindfold ourselves and put the card together! I did way better than I expected to do.
I chose to use new Stampin' Up! products for my card, this doggie punch and stamp set bundle is to die for. I also used Whisper White cardstock and accented it all with Lovely Lipstick cardstock and inks, just using a little Early Espresso for the dog itself and its markings.
I love this challenge as not only is it fun (my son who was watching me to check I didn't cheat played a little prank on me as you'll see in the assembly part of my tutorial video which you can access HERE) but it really demonstrates how heightened our other senses become when our vision is taken away. What I could smell and hear and feel amazed me. It also showed to me how familiar we become as crafters with the feel of our materials, the positioning of our products in our work space and also how we are able to distinguish shape, edges and such surprisingly easily.
Why not give it a go yourself it's a challenge running all week on the Facebook group and there is a prize up for grabs too.
This is what crafting should be about, fun and challenge and sharing and this little project combined all of those.
Thanks for dropping in, have a great weekend.
