Christmas Circle Cards

It's week 16 of the Joy of Sets Great Christmas Card Challenge and as the lovely Fiona from Joy of Sets also set us a mini weekend challenge to make a circle card I thought I'd make two and kill two birds with two stones, two similar stones.

I had no idea how to make a circle card so I did a little bit of research and found a few different takes on a circle card let alone a few different ways to make one so I combined the easiest type and easiest ways and came up with these two very different circle cards.  One is slightly bigger than the other due to  my using different sized dies.

I do have a video tutorial which you can check out HERE. In it I use X-Cut extra large circle dies but you could make this card using a circle cut anyway you choose.  For the first card I used all Stampin' Up! products either current or retired and added DSP gifted to me by Fiona which is called Festive Chalkboard. I also added some Jingle Bells from The Works. I could have added more to the top piece but I just love the chalked effect of the DSP and didn't want to cover it up.

For this second card I went all out Stampin' Up! using the Santa's Workshop Suite of papers, stamps and embellishments.

I just loved making both of these and learning that there is an easy way to make a circle card, they're not as scary as they may look at first to a novice like myself.

See you next Sunday with another Christmas Card although I could be around much sooner with Christmassy projects as we draw closer to the festive season.

Thanks for dropping in. Have a great week!

  1. Great cards Andrea - that’s another technique checked off our lists.

    1. Indeed. What a great idea your blog lovin group was, my regular readership has increased noticeably. I'm enjoying what feels like a trip back to the good old days when conversations were had and communities blossomed in blog post comments.

  2. I just love that paper on the first one. Gorgeous circle cards x

    1. It's so beautiful. Each design is to die for. I was gifted it by Fiona. I was going to add another layer but I just couldn't bring myself to cover up that DSP.

I love to hear your thoughts and am happy to answer your questions
