Scrapbooking with Flowers

I loved making this scrapbook page which celebrates my late mother and uses photos taken in the 1970's on a trip to Jersey in the Channel Islands.

I used stamping off to achieve the multi-tonal floral colours, using Rich Razzleberry. I find that this can be a very strong colour but I think it works well when used in this way.

I've used retired Petite Petals to achieve some dimension with the added flowers and large letter framelits to die cut MAM from Very Vanilla.

I used the gorgeous Share What You Love for DSP and stamping the flower outlines. I used a tiny flower in Berry Burst and also another of the flower stamps as a foliage effect in Tranquil Tide and Old Olive to mirror what is on the DSP.

Adding a little metallic ribbon and a metal rimmed pearl really finished this off beautifully.

The whole thing was on a Very Vanilla 12 x 12 base.

I'm really enjoying Scrapbooking and looking forward to starting a Scrapbooking group next month. Exciting times!

Have a great week.
