Black and White with Popping Pink

OK so Popping Pink is not a Stampin' Up! colour, but who knows with that alliteration it may well make it onto the palette one day.

I wanted to create something which was very black and white with a real pop of this gorgeous Melon Mambo which looks amazing next to either of the basic palette colours... so why not both? All measurements are at the end of the post.

This little handbag/wallet/clutch is just so cute it's not real. I love it. I also love the ric-rac handle which was made using an edging punch (retired from Stampin' Up! but there are other things you could use to get a similar effect such as edging dies).

I recycled some retired antique black lace from 2017 A/W collection to serve as a closure when messing about attaching magnets and velcro just isn't your bag.

This one has concertina sides so the capacity is quite decent and I felt that the top really lent itself to hosting the sentiment.

I just love this and again using up retired stash or mixing in the new stuff, whatever you want to do you can do it with this cute and simple project. The video is up now on You Tube so go check it out.

Why not have a go and #craftylittlethingsuk and share on Instagram so I can see what you did with it?

Have a great week.

For the main part of the bag you need a piece of cardstock measuring 11.5 inches x 6 inches (29.2cm x 15.2cm)

For the side concertinas you need two pieces measuring 4 x 3.5 inches (10.2 x 8.9 cm)

For the side concertinas score at every half an inch (1.3cm) along the longer side (4 inch side)

For the main bag score on the long side only at 3.5, 4.5, 8 and 9 inches  (8.9, 11.4, 20.3 and 22.9 cm)

(Mark an inch (2.5cm) in from the end, turn over and mark an inch on from the last score line just to give a line to cut across for the flap)

The panels and handle are your choice so I won't give dimensions here but they are all detailed in the video.
