I loved making this card. Being the mother of brown children I know the frustration of the greeting card market being geared towards paler skins and so decided to make this glamorous card in different tones... not that it's easy to match card stock to flesh tones but I gave it a shot.
This card is perhaps perfect for a wedding or even a prom or just a special occasion...a young professional lady's first ball or a graduation perhaps. It would be great as a thank you card for bridesmaids or an invitation to friends to be bridesmaids or even a hen party invite. Whatever the purpose of it, it's perfect.
I made the sizes slightly different and did film a tutorial with all measurements on it but lost the footage as my camera decided to melt down so I will just refilm showing the cards and the measurements without going through the process of making them.
These use Stampin' Up! doilies which are super fun and versatile and the new pearlised ones will be even better for this project. Check them out in the new early release suite available now (CLICK TO SHOP).
I used a selection of card stocks and also champagne foil and pieces of ribbon for the dress straps. I also used a selection of basic gems, pearls and rhinestones for the necklaces and on one I used a metal rimmed pearl for extra pizazz!
You could add more gens to the actual dress top if you wanted or give it a brush with Wink of Stella. You can also add a sentiment, perhaps use the Pretty Label Punch and pop a sentiment onto dimensionals in the centre of the dress top.
The possibilities are endless.
Have fun making these and do #craftylittlethingsuk if you share photos on Instagram so I can check out what you made.
