I was going to use floral stamps for this one but ended up going with the pandas because let's face it they are just too cute. I stamped them using a variety of pinks, I chose Sweet Sugarplum, Berry Burst, Fresh Fig and Powder Pink inks for this card.
It began life as a piece of Powder Pink cardstock with strips for the mechanism and for the panels to be formed on. The panels were layered with Fresh Fig cardstock and then stamped Very Vanilla squares.
The inset pieces at the bottom and top of the inner card were from the Painted With Love Speciality DSP in the latest Stampin' Up! Spring Summer catalogue. The whole thing was finished off with dabs of Wink of Stella and some gorgeous metallic edged ribbon.
As I said I had a lot of fun making this for the first time ever in the video tutorial and even though it looks difficult you'll see how easy it actually is. For this one you need a 12 x 12 sheet or two A4 sheets of base colour card stock of your choice and half a sheet of 12 x 12 DSP as well as some smaller pieces of contrasting colour card stock and Very Vanilla for the inner panels. As I said I also used ribbon and plenty of liquid adhesive. I use Tombow as I just love it.
Why not give it a go and put your own twist on it... forgive the pun.
Have a great weekend.
