GU Home made candle gift boxes

I recently uploaded a video showing how to make a scented candle using an empty GU cheesecake container to celebrate the success of the Crafty Little Things Christmas 2017 range of container candles.

I wanted to show how you can make candles at home without professional equipment. After making them I thought it would be a good idea to make some gift boxes for them and so I have made three videos for the Crafty Little Things You Tube channel showing different ways to gift your hand made candle.

I went with an opulent foiled style, a more traditional Nordic style and a black windowed box with a little bit of glitz. I think they all look fabulous and would make gorgeous hand made gifts.

I will try to pop some written details on at some point but for now I hope the tutorials speak for themselves.

Thanks for dropping in.

  1. Very cute boxes . . . will start using the vellum. Thanks for sharing.

    1. Thank you Marina, this patterned vellum was from a retired stack but I have seen it on resale sites. Stampin' Up! plain vellum is really good though and can be stamped on, heat embossed and used with embossing folders too so is really versatile. There is some foiled window sheet in the current catalogue too which could also be used to add a little touch of something extra to a project.

I love to hear your thoughts and am happy to answer your questions
