Christmas Cracker Boxes

Don't you just love these cute little cracker inspired boxes?  They have a slide in/out drawer box which could be open topped or have a lid on it and could be compartmentalised to gift chocolates in or left as one space for cosmetics and jewellery gifts.

These fold flat so you can make loads and pop them up when you are ready to fill them and it is so easy to resize them to suit the size of your gift. You do need the envelope punch board for this project, I've linked it below if you need to grab one. They are very useful to have in your kit.

I used the Merry Little Christmas DSP set here from the Stampin' Up! Autumn/Winter 2017/18 catalogue for the black cracker with a sentiment stamped in Real Red to add a splash of colour punched out using the pretty labels punch using Very Vanilla and Basic Black cardstocks. The smaller one beneath it in the photo was made using Christmas Around the World DSP with the sentiment in Whisper White and Cherry Cobbler and tied with Cherry Cobbler ribbon from the Clearance Rack. The others were made using retired Presents and Pinecones paper and I used Emerald Envy ribbon also from the Clearance Rack.

There is a You Tube tutorial of this box which is a little bit rambling but shows how to size the box to suit what you want to put in it so that may be helpful to you. Just remember that the most important thing is to work from the size of the gift. Obviously this style of box lends itself more to a long thin gift or you can compartmentalise the inside tray/box and then it's perfect for small round or square gifts too.

I've linked  everything that I used below and hope that you found this useful. It's a great little seasonal box and so easy to make.

Have fun!
